Medicine Hat Tigers beat Lethbridge Hurricanes 7-3 in season opener

MEDICINE HAT, Alta. - Medicine Hat began their 40th anniversary season with an impressive win as the Tigers bombed the Lethbridge Hurricanes 7-3 in Western Hockey League action Saturday.

Bretton Cameron scored twice for the Tigers (1-0-0), while Kale Kessy, Cody Carlson, Wacey Hamilton, Jace Coyle and Mark Isherwood had singles.

Ryan Moser, Austin Fyten and Brent Henke replied for the Hurricanes (0-2-0).

Ryan Holfeld made 23 saves in the win for the Tigers. Ville Kolpannen turned away 28 shots in the loss.
