Medicine Hat evens series at one game apiece with 6-2 win over Swift Current @NHLdotcom

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - The Medicine Hat Tigers scored three goals in the opening 10 minutes and added another three in the third period to down the Swift Current Broncos 6-2 and even their Western Hockey League Eastern Conference quarter-final series at one game each.

The series now shifts to Medicine Hat, Alta., for games three and four.

Sean Ringrose opened the scoring and Brennan Bosch scored twice in two minutes and 14 seconds for the Tigers in the first period.

Medicine Hat put the game out of reach in the third when Tyler Ennis scored his team-leading third goal of the series and Wacey Hamilton and Matt McCue added power-play goals.

Swift Current replied with second period power-play goals from John Negrin and Taylor Vause.

Ryan Holfeld stopped 22 shots to earn the win, while Broncos netminder Travis Yonkman made 28 saves.
