McRae scores in overtime as Plymouth Whalers edge Brampton Battalion 2-1 @NHLdotcom

PLYMOUTH, Mich. - Phil McRae's goal 39 seconds into overtime gave the Plymouth Whalers a 2-1 win over the Brampton Battalion in Ontario Hockey League action Friday night.

Tyler Seguin's OHL-best 36th goal of the year gave the Whalers (29-20-1) a 1-0 lead in the final minute of the second period. Scott Wedgewood, giving Matt Hackett a rare night off in goal, made 22 saves for the win.

Stephon Thorne evened the game at 7:22 of the third period for Brampton (17-21-10), while Patrick Killeen finished with 29 stops.
