McMillan, Brown lead Rockets to sixth straight win, downing Prince George 7-1

KELOWNA, B.C. - Brandon McMillan scored twice and Adam Brown made 23 saves as the Kelowna Rockets routed the Prince George Cougars 7-1 in Western Hockey League action Saturday night.

Spencer Main, Lucas Bloodoff, with his fifth goal of the season, Cody Chikie, Shane McColgan and Collin Bowman also scored for Kelowna (6-2-1), which won its sixth game in a row after a winless three-game start.

The Rockets gave up the game's first goal just six minutes into the contest but then scored seven straight goals, including three goals in a 52-second span in the third period to put the game away.

Brock Hirsche, with a penalty shot, replied for Prince George (2-7-0), which suffered its fifth straight loss. On Friday, the Cougars lost 6-1 to the Blazers in Kamloops.

James Priestner made 24 saves for Prince George, but was pulled after Kelowna's sixth goal. Michael Salmon made seven stops in relief.
