OTTAWA - Jamie McGinn had two goals and an assist Friday night to lead the Ottawa 67's past the Belleville Bulls 4-3 in Ontario Hockey League action.
The 67's were without leading scorer Logan Couture who was experiencing concussion-like symptoms following a hit Dec. 16 against the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors.
Jon Carnevale scored the winner with less than seven minutes to play in the third period as he slid a rebound underneath Bulls netminder Mike Murphy.
"I thought Carnavale played with a lot of determination. He was hard working all night and he deserved something like the winning goal," said 67's coach Brian Kilrea.
Jason Bailey had the other goal for the 67's (18-13-3) while Adam Courchaine made 34 stops, including a brilliant glove grab off Andrew Self early in the game to keep it scoreless.
The Bulls (20-9-3-2) got goals from Shawn Lalonde, Keaton Turkiewicz and Matt Beleskey. Murphy made 35 stops.
