McFarlane's overtime winner leads Sudbury to 4-3 win over Oshawa @NHLdotcom

OSHAWA, Ont. - John McFarlane scored 40 seconds into overtime Sunday night as the Sudbury Wolves registered a 4-3 victory over the Oshawa Generals in Ontario Hockey League action.

The goal, McFarlane's fourth of the season and second of the game, came on the power play after Oshawa's Colin Sullentrop was hit with a tripping penalty at the end of regulation.

Eric O'Dell and Daniel Lombardi scored the other Sudbury goals, while Andrew Loverock made 37 saves for the Wolves (3-2-0).

Scoring for Oshawa (1-1-2) were Christian Thomas, Andy Andreoff and Alain Berger, while Kevin Bailie, in his first start of the season, made 24 saves.

Including McFarlane's winning goal, the Wolves went 3-for-8 on the power play and the Generals, now 1-1-2 on the year, went only 1-for-8.
