McDonald scores SO winner as Prince Albert holds off Saskatoon 5-4 @NHLdotcom

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. - Ryan McDonald scored the lone goal of the shootout as the Prince Albert Raiders thwarted a late comeback attempt by Saskatoon to down the Blades 5-4 on Friday night in the Western Hockey League.

McDonald had a goal and an assist in regulation, while Ryan Harrison also had a goal and an assist and Ryan Button scored twice for Prince Albert (31-35-4-1).

Stefan Elliott tied the game for Saskatoon with seven seconds remaining in the third period. Jyri Niemi, Darian Dziurzynski and Charles Inglis also scored for the Blades (48-18-3-2).

Garrett Zemlak made 50 saves for the Raiders, while Saskatoon netminder Braden Holtby stopped 30 shots.
