McDonald erupts for four goals as Prince Albert beats Swift Current 4-2 @NHL

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. - Ryan McDonald had a career-high four goals to lead the Prince Albert Raiders to a 4-2 victory over the Swift Current Broncos on Tuesday night in the Western Hockey League.

McDonald, who turns 21 on Jan. 5, gave the Raiders (17-22-2-0) a 2-0 lead with a pair of second-period goals. After Matt Tassone and Justin Dowling scored for the Broncos (23-16-0-1) to tie the score, McDonald completed the hat trick - and scored the eventual game winner - with 4:06 left in the third period.

He scored his fourth of the game, and 23rd of the season, into an empty net in the final minute.

Dowling and Tassone each had a goal and an assist to pace Swift Current, which saw its three-game winning streak come to an end.

Steven Stanford stopped 31 shots to earn the win for the Raiders.

Travis Yonkman made 27 saves in defeat for the Broncos.
