McCue scores game winner as Brandon defeats Lethbridge 4-3 in overtime. @NHLdotcom

BRANDON, Man.-Defenceman Matt McCue scored 6:48 into overtime as the Brandon Wheat Kings beat the Lethbridge Hurricanes 4-3 in WHL playoff action Friday night. With the win, Brandon now trails Lethbridge 3-2 in the series.

The goal gave the Wheat Kings their second win in a row, after dropping the first three games of the Eastern Conference quarter-final, sending the series back to Lethbridge, Alta., for Game 6 on Sunday.

Luca Sbisa had scored for the Hurricanes with just 26.68 seconds left in the third period to force overtime.

Jay Fehr, Andrew Clark and Brayden Schenn also scored for the Wheat Kings.

Nicholas Hotson and Zach Boychuk scored the other Hurricanes goals.

Brandon netminder Joe Caligiuri made 32 saves, while Michael Maniago stopped 22 stopped shots for Lethbridge.
