McCue gets two points against his former team as the Tigers down Brandon 6-2

BRANDON, Man. - Former Brandon Wheat King Matt McCue scored a goal and an assist to help the Medicine Hat Tigers defeat the Wheat Kings 6-2 in the Western Hockey League on Saturday night.

It was the defenceman's first game against his ex-teammates since being traded to the Tigers last month and the first multi-point game of his five-year WHL career.

Brennan Bosch notched two goals and Travis Dunstall, Tyler Ennis and Tristan King also scored for the Tigers (9-7-2-2). Ennis added two assists for a three-point game.

Matt Calvert and Matt Lowry scored for the Wheat Kings (11-7-1-0).

Tyler Bunz stopped 18 shots for Medicine Hat for his first victory of the season. Brandon netminder Andrew Hayes made six saves on 10 shots before being replaced in the second period by James Priestner, who stopped 11 of 13 shots.
