Mayers scores two goals to lift Mississauga over Oshawa 5-2 @NHLdotcom

OSHAWA, Ont. - Jordan Mayer scored twice as the Mississauga St. Michaels Majors beat the Oshawa Generals 5-2 Sunday night in Ontario Hockey League action.

David Corrente, Joseph Cramarossa and Jamie Wise added singles for the Majors (10-3-2).

J.P. Labardo and Colin Suellentrop each scored for the Generals (7-8-2).

J.P. Anderson stopped 36 shots for the win while Dan Altshuller made 26 saves in defeat.

Mississauga scored two short-handed goals but also gave up two goals on the power play goals.

The victory moves the Majors into first place in the Eastern Conference.
