MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - Centre Jordan Mayer broke out of a nine-game scoring drought with a goal and an assist to lead the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors to a 5-2 victory over the Belleville Bulls Friday night in the Ontario Hockey League.
Joseph Cramarossa, Casey Cizikas and defenceman David Corrente had the other goals for the Majors (13-4-1).
Tyler Taylor and Luke Judson scored for the Bulls (6-12-2).
"I think I got a little bit comfortable after the start I had and I guess I thought it was easy," said Mayer. "I kind of lost the determination but I think this will get the fire back."
Philipp Grubauer started in goal for the Bulls but lasted only two periods after allowing four of Mississauga's goals on 20 shots. Tyson Teichmann took over in the third period and allowed one goal. He made seven saves in the period.
JP Anderson turned aside 21 of 23 shots in the Mississauga net.
