EDMONTON - Tyler Maxwell's 14th power-play goal of the season stood up as the game winner as the Edmonton Oil Kings defeated the visiting Lethbridge Hurricanes 4-1 on Sunday afternoon in Western Hockey League action.
Mitchell Moroz scored twice for the Oil Kings (41-15-7), who sit first in the Eastern Conference, while Stephane Legault added a single goal.
Brady Ramsay scored the lone goal for the Hurricanes (25-37-1), who lost for the first time in four outings and sit 11th in the Eastern Conference.
Laurent Brossoit made 31 saves for his 35th win of the season as Damien Ketlo stopped 32 of 35 shots in a losing effort.
Edmonton went 1 for 5 on the power play while Lethbridge failed to score on three chances with the man advantage.
