Playing their first home game of the season after eight straight on the road, the Hurricanes potted four third-period goals en route to a 5-2 victory over the Edmonton Oil Kings in Western Hockey League action Friday night.
Mitch Maxwell and Brent Henke each scored twice for the Hurricanes (3-6-0). Carter Ashton added a goal.
Devin Balness and Thomas Vincour scored for Edmonton (4-2-2).
Hurricanes netminder Linden Rowat made 25 saves to improve his record to 2-1.
Oil Kings netminder Torrie Jung stopped 32 shots.
