Maxwell 26 saves as Majors tie series with 4-0 win over Colts

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - Brandon Maxwell stopped all 26 shots he faced as the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors shutout the visiting Barrie Colts 4-0 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League playoff action.

Riley Brace scored once and set up two more for the Majors while Stuart Percy, Spenser Cobbold and Kristoff Kontos each added a goal.

Colts' goaltender Mathias Niederberger allowed four goals on 24 shots before getting pulled early in the second period.

Alex Fotinos stopped each of the 17 shots he faced in relief.

Mississauga went 1 for 8 on the power play as Barrie failed to score on four opportunties with the man advantage.

The series is now tied at one game apiece with Game 3 to take place this Monday in Barrie.
