Max Reinhart leads Kootenay Ice over Regina Pats 5-2 in WHL action @NHLdotcom

CRANBROOK, B.C. - Max Reinhart had two goals and two assists Friday as the Kootenay Ice defeated the Regina Pats 5-2 in the Western Hockey League.

Dylen McKinlay added a goal and an assist for the Ice (3-0-1), while Elgin Pearce and Adam Rossignol also scored. Joey Leach had two assists.

Mackenzie Skapski made 26 saves for the win.

Brandon Underwood and Lane Scheidl had the goals for Regina (3-1-0), which got 22 saves from Adam Beukeboom. Jordan Weal had two assists.

Tied 2-2 in the second, the Ice took the lead for the first time when Reinhart's shot from the top of circle was deflected home by McKinlay at 14:48 on the power play.

Pearce scored on a backhand to make it 4-2 at 17:14 of the third before Reinhart added his second of the night into an empty at 19:15.
