BOISBRIAND, Que. - Stefan Jr Matteau's power-play goal at 15:54 of the first period stood up as the game winner as the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada edged the visiting Drummondville Voltiguers 2-1 on Wednesday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Cedric Paquette also scored for the Armada (4-0-1) and added an assist for a two-point outing.

Matteau scored on the power play less than two minutes later to give the Armada a 2-0 lead heading into the first intermission.

Malouin cut Blainville-Boisbriand's lead in half at 4:33 of the second period, but that was as close as Drummondville could get as Marcoux stopped everything else he faced through the final 35 minutes.
