Murray, DeSmith pay homage to city mascots with Stadium Series masks

Lifelike penguin, old school Steelers logo highlight special buckets

When you're playing for Pittsburgh, you have to stay true to the Steel City, and that's exactly what Matt Murray and Casey DeSmith did with their masks for the 2019 Coors Light Stadium Series.

Murray went with a lifelike penguin as the feature on both sides of his new black bucket for the game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers on Feb. 23 (8 p.m. ET; NBC, SN360, SN1, TVAS2).

His mask also has the Pittsburgh skyline on top of the gold stripe down the center.

DeSmith opted for the football theme since the game will be played at Lincoln Financial Field, home to the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles. His mask has a throwback Pittsburgh Steelers logo of a steel worker kicking the ball off a steel beam that the team used from 1961-68.
