Matt Duchene scores hat trick and an assist as Battalion trounce Wolves 10-2 @NHLdotcom

BRAMPTON, Ont. - Rookie forward Matt Duchene had three goals and an assist and defenceman Bobby Sanguinetti contributed a pair of goals as the Brampton Battalion crushed the Sudbury Wolves 10-2 in Ontario Hockey League action Friday night.

Sanguinetti, acquired over the summer from the Owen Sound Attack, has five goals and three assists in three games.

Thomas Stajan scored a pair of goals, while Jason Dale, John Hughes and Luke Lynes added singles to round out the offence for the Battalion (2-1-0).

Gerome Giudice and Kevin Baker replied for Sudbury (0-3-0).

Battalion goalie Patrick Killeen turned aside 29 of 31 shots to earn the win.

Sebastien Dahm started in net for the Wolves but was replaced at 15:19 of the second period by Michael Swick after surrendering six goals on 34 shots.
