Colorado Avalanche forwards Matt Duchene and Nathan MacKinnon will miss the next two games because of knee injuries, Avalanche coach Patrick Roy said Tuesday.

Roy said Duchene and MacKinnon will be re-evaluated after home games against the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday and the Minnesota Wild on Saturday.

Colorado is one point ahead of the Wild for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Western Conference. The Wild play the Los Angeles Kings at Xcel Energy Center on Tuesday (8:30 p.m. ET; NBCSN).

Duchene, who has missed the past two games, leads the Avalanche with 29 goals and 56 points in 71 games.

MacKinnon, who was hurt during a 4-3 shootout win against the Calgary Flames on March 18, did not play in a 3-2 win against the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday. He is second on the Avalanche with 21 goals and 52 points in 72 games.
