Matt Caria's four points help Sault Ste. Marie rout Brampton @NHLdotcom

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. - Matt Caria had a goal and three assists as the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds demolished the Brampton Battalion 7-1 in Ontario Hockey League action Friday night.

The Greyhounds led 4-1 after the second period on goals by Tomas Rachunek, Matthew Lyall, Anthony Peluso and Jake Carrick. That was enough to chase Brampton netminder Patrick Killeen from the net. His replacement, Brandon Foote, allowed three goals on eight shots in the third period.

Michael Fine and James Livingston also scored for Sault Ste. Marie (5-2-1-0). Scott Tanski had the lone marker for the Battalion (2-5-0-0).

Greyhounds goaltender Bryce O'Hagan stopped 35 shots to earn the victory.
