Matt Calvert to have hearing with Player Safety

Columbus Blue Jackets forward Matt Calvert will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Saturday for cross-checking Pittsburgh Penguins forward Tom Kuhnhackl.

Calvert was penalized with 35 seconds remaining in the third period of Pittsburgh's 4-1 win against Columbus in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference First Round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Friday. 

The Penguins lead the best-of-7 series 2-0. Game 3 is Sunday at Nationwide Arena (6 p.m. ET; CNBC, SN360, TVA Sports 2, FS-O, ROOT).

The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: cross-checking. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
