Masse and Riopel take weekly QMJHL honours @NHL

BOUCHERVILLE, Que. - Drummondville Voltigeurs forward Dany Masse and Moncton Wildcats goaltender Nicola Riopel were named Quebec Major Junior Hockey League players of the week Monday.

Masse had nine points (4-5) in four games last week. Maxime Legault of the Shawinigan Cataractes and Paul Byron and Jean-Philip Chabot of the Gatineau Olympiques were also considered for the offensive award.

Riopel posted two victories last week and had a 1.00 goals-against average and .966 save percentage.

Gatineau's Maxime Clermont, Shawinigan's Simon Lacroix and Marc-Antoine Desnoyers of the Drummondville Voltigeurs were also considered.
