Wayne Simmonds scored two goals, and Steve Mason made 23 saves to help the Philadelphia Flyers to a 4-0 preseason win against the New York Islanders at Wells Fargo Center on Tuesday. 

Dale Weise, who signed a four-year contract with Philadelphia as an unrestricted free agent on July 1, scored in the first period, and Andy Miele scored in the second. 

New York outshot Philadelphia 23-20. 

Islanders goalie Christopher Gibson allowed all four Flyers goals in 44:05. Backup Eamon McAdam made saves on all five shots he faced in relief.
