Mashinter scores two in third game with Belleville as Bulls beat Kingston 4-1 @NHL

KINGSTON, Ont. - Brandon Mashinter scored his first two goals as a Bull to lead Belleville past the Kingston Frontenacs 4-1 on Sunday night in the Ontario Hockey League.

Mashinter was traded to the Bulls on Dec. 16, along with a fourth-round pick in 2009 and a second-round pick in 2010, by the Kitchener Rangers in exchange for Tyler Randell. He went pointless in his first two games with Belleville before notching his 15th and 16th goals of the season to provide some breathing room for Belleville against the Frontenacs.

Bryan Cameron, with his league-leading 27th goal of the season, and Stephen Johnston also scored for the Bulls (24-11-2-2), who now hold a commanding 12-point lead in the East Division.

James Marsden scored for Kingston (7-24-4-2), which has lost five straight and nine of its last 10.

Mike Murphy made 35 saves for Belleville, while Frontenacs netminder Anthony Peters stopped 22 shots.
