Martin St. Pierre leads Providence Bruins over Toronto Marlies 4-3 in SO @NHL

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Martin St. Pierre scored twice in shootout and had a goal and an assist in regulation as the Providence Bruins edged the Toronto Marlies 4-3 on Friday in AHL action.

Zach Hamill opened the scoring for Providence (17-11-2) and Jordan Knackstedt also had a goal and an assist for the Bruins, who traded goals with the Marlies in each period.

Max Taylor, Tim Stapleton and Mark Bell had goals for Toronto (13-12-3), with Stapleton getting the tying goal on the power play with just over three minutes left to play.

Marlies goalie Justin Pogge made 28 saves in the loss, while Tuukka Rask kept busy for Providence, stopping 36 of 39 shots.
