PHILADELPHIA -- Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Paul Martin could return to the lineup Thursday night against the Philadelphia Flyers after missing two games with a lower-body injury.
Penguins coach Dan Bylsma said Martin will be a game-time decision, but the defenseman, who skated in practice Thursday morning with regular partner Brooks Orpik, said he feels good and hopes to be in.
"The last couple of days it's been getting better and today was no different," Martin said. "I hopefully expect to be in tonight."
Martin said he skated Wednesday -- a scheduled day off for the Penguins -- with strength and conditioning coach Mike Kadar.
"Things went well," Martin said. "The practice the day before that went well. I continue to get better and felt good today."
Bylsma said Marc-Andre Fleury will get the start in net against the Flyers. Fleury is 6-1-0 with a 2.44 goals-against average and .914 save percentage in his past seven starts. Fleury is 52-18-10 with a 2.35 GAA for his career in the month of March.
Here is the Penguins expected lineup, assuming Martin will play:
Chris Kunitz - Sidney Crosby - Pascal Dupuis
Beau Bennett - Evgeni Malkin - James Neal
Matt Cooke - Brandon Sutter - Tyler Kennedy
Tanner Glass - Joe Vitale - Craig Adams
Paul Martin - Brooks Orpik
Matt Niskanen - Kris Letang
Mark Eaton - Deryk Engelland
