Marlies have five-game win streak snapped in 4-1 loss to Flames

TORONTO - Doug Carr stopped 29 shots ? including all 19 his way in the third period ? as the Adirondack Flames downed the host Toronto Marlies 4-1 on Saturday in American Hockey League action.

Markus Granland and Bill Arnold had a goal and an assist apiece for the Flames (29-22-5) while Mark Cundari and Turner Elson added the others.

Greg McKegg scored the lone goal for the Marlies (26-22-9), who had their five-game win streak halted.

Toronto's Antoine Bibeau turned away 23-of-26 shots in defeat.

Adirondack went 2 for 6 on the power play while the Marlies failed to score on nine chances with the man advantage.
