Mark Visentin makes 42 saves in Niagara IceDogs 2-1 win over Saginaw Spirit @NHLdotcom

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - Mark Visentin made 42 saves as the Niagara IceDogs picked up their 40th win of the season, a 2-1 victory over the Saginaw Spirit in Ontario Hockey League action Thursday night.

Mitchell Theoret and Alex Friesen scored for the IceDogs (40-17-3).

Terry Trafford was the lone Saginaw (27-26-8) player to beat Visentin. Jake Paterson made 37 stops for the Spirit.

The two teams came into the contest with the highest ranked power plays in the league ? Niagara at 26.1 per cent and Saginaw at 21.7

Both teams were 0-for-3 with the man-advantage.
