Mark Isherwood of Medicine Hat Tigers named CHL player of the week @NHLdotcom

TORONTO - Defenceman Mark Isherwood of the Medicine Hat Tigers was named Canadian Hockey League player of the week Wednesday.

He had six points (4-2) and a plus-2 rating in three games last week.

Jonathan Hazen of the Val d'Or Foreurs and Nathan Moon of the Kingston Frontenacs were also considered.

Troy Passingham of the Windsor Spitfires was named CHL goaltender of the week after winning all three of his starts. He had two shutouts last week to go with a 1.67 goals-against average and .938 save percentage.

Philippe Tremblay of the Rimouski Oceanic and Lucas Gore of the Chilliwack Bruins were also considered.
