SPOKANE, Wash. - Brandon McMillan scored and Mark Guggenberger made 22 saves as the Kelowna Rockets blanked the Spokane Chiefs 1-0 in Western Hockey League action Monday.
The Rockets (47-21-1-3) clinched third place in the Western Conference with the win.
Dustin Tokarski made 23 saves for the Chiefs (45-23-0-3), who will finish fourth in the West.
The game was the first of two that the Chiefs must make up after the end of the WHL season. Two Chiefs games were cancelled last weekend due to an outbreak of food poisoning that affected several Spokane players.
The Chiefs finish their season Tuesday night when they play the Tri-City Americans in Kennewick, Wash.
