center Marc Savard
left Thursday night's game against Chicago after just 28 seconds because of what appeared to be an injured right leg, and the team said he will not return.
Savard went into the side boards in the Hawks' zone along with Chicago center Jonathan Toews
on the first shift of the game. He went down to the ice awkwardly after the seemingly innocent collision and stayed there until the team's medical staff attended to him.
Savard was helped off the ice by teammates and assisted down the runway by the team's trainers. The Bruins said he won't return to the game but offered no other details.
