Maple Leafs release veterans Glencross, Setoguchi

The Toronto Maple Leafs released veteran forwards Curtis Glencross and Devin Setoguchi from their professional tryout contracts, and reassigned forward Mitchell Marner to London of the Ontario Hockey League on Sunday.

Glencross has 134 goals and 275 points in 507 NHL games with the Columbus Blue Jackets, Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames and Washington Capitals. Setoguchi has 127 goals and 249 points in 471 NHL games with the San Jose Sharks, Minnesota Wild, Winnipeg Jets and Flames. He scored a career-high 31 goals with San Jose in 2008-09.

Marner, the fourth pick in the 2015 NHL Draft, scored 44 goals and 126 points for London last season.
