The Toronto Maple Leafs recalled forward Andre Deveaux from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League Wednesday afternoon.

He is currently fifth in team scoring with eight points, second in goals (6) and powerplay goals (4). His 54 penalty minutes in 13 AHL games lead the Marlies in 2008-09. He collected his first career hat-trick on October 26, 2008 against Houston.

Originally Montreal's fourth choice, 182nd overall, in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, Deveaux signed with the Maple Leafs as a free agent on July 21, 2008. Deveaux played in 24 AHL playoff games as a member of the Calder Cup winning Chicago Wolves in 2007-08 and he will be looking to make his NHL debut.
