Marner Maple Leafs

The Toronto Maple Leafs placed forward Mitchell Marner on injured reserve Tuesday, retroactive to Feb. 15.
Marner missed Toronto's past two games with an upper-body injury and won't play Tuesday against the Winnipeg Jets (7:30 p.m. ET; TSN4, TSN3, NHL.TV). He was injured when he crashed into the boards during a 5-2 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Feb. 15.

Marner is eligible to return on Thursday when Toronto hosts the New York Rangers.
The 19-year-old is second on the Maple Leafs with 48 points (15 goals, 33 assists). He ranks third among NHL rookies in scoring, trailing Patrik Laine of the Winnipeg Jets (52 points) and Toronto teammate Auston Matthews (49).
The Maple Leafs recalled forward Frederik Gauthier from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League on Tuesday.
