Auston Matthews scores first goal for Maple Leafs in preseason loss

Shea Weber scored in his first preseason game with the Montreal Canadiens, and Carey Price made 28 saves in a 6-1 win against the Toronto Maple Leafs at Bell Centre on Thursday.
Weber scored 4:38 into the second period to give Montreal a 4-1 lead. Auston Matthews scored his first NHL preseason goal against Price with 5:39 left in the first period. Matthews was the No. 1 pick in the 2016 NHL Draft. Andrew Shaw scored twice, and Michael McCarron, Alex Galchenyuk and Artturi Lehkonen scored for the Canadiens, who ended their preseason schedule. Maple Leafs goalie Frederik Andersen allowed six goals on 32 shots. Toronto has two games remaining.
