Manning scores winner, Chilliwack storms back to beat Prince Albert 5-4

CHILLIWACK, B.C. - Defenceman Brandon Manning scored the winner early in the third period as the Chilliwack Bruins rallied to beat the Prince Albert Raiders 5-4 on Friday night in the WHL.

Manning, David Robinson, Alexander Wiklund and Kevin Sundher each had a goal and an assist to pace the Bruins (3-2-1-1), who trailed 3-1 late in the second period before erupting for four unanswered goals. Scott MacDonald also scored for Chilliwack.

Ryan McDonald, Matt Robertson, Dustin Cameron and Ryan Harrison countered for the Raiders (4-5-0-0).

Mark Friesen turned in a 39-save performance to preserve the win for the Bruins.

Steven Stanford stopped 34 shots in defeat for Prince Albert.
