NYR@NJD, Gm2: Eli Manning helps Devils get fired up

Eli Manning is rooting for the home team.

The former New York Giants quarterback attended Game 2 of the Eastern Conference First Round matchup between the New Jersey Devils and New York Rangers at the Prudential Center on Thursday.
"Excited for my first playoff hockey experience," Manning said in a video posted by the Devils on Twitter. "So, it should be an awesome atmosphere and hey, I'm in New Jersey, so let's go Devils."

Before the game, the two-time Super Bowl champion teamed up with rock band The Gaslight Anthem for the "Light Up The Rock" ceremony.

Manning tweeted out his excitement for Game 2 matchup after attending the New York Yankees game against the Los Angeles Angels earlier in the day.

The
"hockey dad"
has become a staple on the New York/New Jersey hockey scene.
In March, Manning was
spotted in the background of the Minnesota Wild's overtime celebration
against the Devils. Last season, he
took his daughters to a Rangers game
at Madison Square Garden.
