Manitoba Moose win fourth straight in 3-1 victory over Quad City Flames @NHL

WINNIPEG - In their third game in four nights, the Manitoba Moose extended their winning streak to four games on Friday with a 3-1 victory over the Quad City Flames.

Manitoba's Mark Cullen netted the game-winner, while goaltender Karl Goehring stopped 32 of 33 shots for his eleventh win of the season and first star honours.

Michel Ouellet slid in the first goal after the initial shot by Mark Derlago to put the Moose (21-7-0-0) up by one at 8:46 of the first period.

Trading penalties in the early half of the second showcased both sides' special teams, but neither squad was able to net a goal on their respective opportunities.

The Moose extended their lead at 14:16 of the second. Daniel Rahimi slapped the puck from the point, which deflected off of Mark Cullen and into the net to put the Moose up 2-0.

David Van der Gulik scored for the Flames.

With help from Captain Mike Keane and Alexandre Bolduc, Mario Blizank netted his fifth goal of the season to put the Moose on top 3-1 midway through the third period.

Quad City (9-14-4-2) goalie Matt Keetley made 23 saves on 26 shots in the loss.
