Maniago turns aside 20 shots as red-hot Lethbridge beats Everett 4-1 @NHLdotcom

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. - Michael Maniago stopped 20 shots as the Lethbridge Hurricanes beat the Everett Silvertips 4-1 in WHL action Wednesday night.

The teams traded first-period power-play goals but Lethbridge was the better team over the final 40 minutes, getting an Adam Chorneyko goal with the extra man in the second before Jacob Dietrich converted a Daniel Iwanski pass on a two-on-one in the third.

The 3-1 lead held until Mitch Fadden scored into the empty net, sending the Hurricanes (11-7-1-1) to their seventh win in the past eight games.

Dane Crowley scored for the Silvertips (11-8-0-0), while Leland Irving made 19 saves in defeat.
