As Malcolm Subban has emerged in Marc-Andre Fleury's absence by winning his first two games, the look of the Golden Knights' goalie's equipment has seemed a bit off. After all, Subban's been a Golden Knight for 17 days now.
While getting new equipment - especially a custom mask - can take time, some have asked what the status of Subban's new Vegas equipment's arrival is.
So VegasGoldenKnights.com asked Subban after practice on Friday at City National Arena.
"You have to ask the equipment managers," Subban said. "I'm not too sure. They should be coming soon, though."

Subban elaborated that while sometimes the topic of his equipment is a hot topic on social media, that it's not something that concerns him. In turn, he doesn't feel inclined to be superstitious and stick with this combination now that he's won a few games.

Basically, Subban is now starting NHL games on a regular basis for the first time in his career and is worrying about that. And while he'll happily sport his new equipment when it arrives, what he looks like on the ice in the meantime isn't something that crosses his mind.
"I'm not too superstitious," Subban said. "I try to create my own luck. I'm more focused on stopping the puck."
