Majors beat Colts 3-2, tie OHL East quarter-final at two games each @NHLdotcom

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - Mika Partanen scored a goal and added an assist to lead the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors to a 3-2 victory over the Barrie Colts in Game 4 of their Ontario Hockey League Eastern Conference quarter-final Tuesday night.

The best-of-seven series is tied at two games a piece.

Rookie defenceman Trevor Carrick scored the game winner with 6:23 remaining in the third period while Riley Brace also had a goal for the Majors, who rallied back from a 2-1 deficit after the first period. Majors forward Jamie Wise chipped in with two assists.

Ivan Telegin and Erik Bradford replied for Barrie.

Brandon Maxwell made 27 saves for Mississauga while Mathias Niederberger stopped 29 shots for Barrie.

The Majors went 2-for-4 on the power play while the Colts finished 0-for-3. Game 5 of the series will be played Saturday night in Barrie, Ont., with Game 6 Monday night in Mississauga.
