Magnus gets first WHL goal for Swift Current in 4-1 win over Prince Albert

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - Rookie Christian Magnus scored his first Western Hockey League goal five minutes into the first period to pace the Swift Current Broncos to their third straight victory, a 4-1 win over the Prince Albert Raiders on Friday night.

Grant Toulmin, Jan Dalecky and Geordie Wudrick also scored for the Broncos (12-5-0-0), who led by period scores of 1-0 and 2-1 en route to posting their 12th win of the year and seventh on home ice.

Jordan Hickmott scored the lone goal for Prince Albert (10-9-0-0).

Swift Current netminder Travis Yonkman made 23 saves to improve to 4-0 on the season, while Steven Stanford stopped 30 shots for the Raiders.
