MacLean's tiebreaker lifts Sault Ste. Marie over Whalers 4-2 @NHLdotcom

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. - Brandon MacLean's third-period tiebreaking goal gave the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds a 4-2 win over the Plymouth Whalers in OHL action Sunday.

Dustin Jeffrey added an insurance marker with less than 10 seconds remaining to play. Andrew Campbell and Matthew Lyall also scored for the Greyhounds, with Lyall adding two assists in the campaign.

Andrew Fournier had the hot stick for Plymouth, scoring both goals in the third period to rally the Whalers. It was Fournier's seventh and eighth on the season.

Kyle Gajewski gets the win for Sault Ste. Marie with a 25-save performance, while Whalers netminder Michal Neuvirth suffers the loss after stopping 27 of 31 shots.
