OSHAWA, Ont. - Chris MacKinnon and Tyler Randell each had a four-point game Sunday to help lead the Kitchener Rangers over the Oshawa Generals 7-0 in Ontario Hockey League action.
MacKinnon, scored the game's opening goal on a first period breakaway, and added his other marker in the second period to go along with two assists.
Randell had a goal and three helpers to account for his big afternoon.
Also scoring for the Rangers were Jeff Skinner, Jonathan Jasper, Alex Aleardi, Tyler Randell and Julian Cimadamore.
Parker Van Buskirk made 27 saves for the Rangers and was rarely tested, while for Oshawa Michael Zador allowed six goals on 26 shots before being lifted in favour of Kevin Bailie.
Special teams were a factor for Kitchener as they scored twice on the power play in eight chances, while limiting Oshawa to no goals on six opportunities with the man advantage.
Kitchener improves to 21-27-1-1 with the win, while the Generals lost their sixth in a row and fell to 21-24-1-4.
