Machesney's 30 saves help Moose earn sweep with 2-1 victory over Wolves @NHLdotcom

WINNIPEG - Daren Machesney turned aside 30 shots in his Manitoba debut as the Moose beat the Chicago Wolves 2-1 on Saturday night.

Machesney, who spent the previous two seasons with the Hershey Bears, was beaten by Brett Sterling at 11:55 of the first period but was solid the rest of the way.

Michael Grabner scored the game winner midway through the second period to pace the Moose (3-1-0), who beat Chicago (0-3-0) for the second time in as many nights. Veteran Mike Keane had the other Manitoba goal.

Drew MacIntyre made 35 saves in defeat for the Wolves.
