MacDonald's second-period goal leads Hitmen past Rockets 4-3 @NHL

CALGARY - Jason MacDonald's goal late in the second period proved to be the winner as the Calgary Hitmen defeated the Kelowna Rockets 4-3 in WHL action Sunday afternoon.

Carson McMillan, Ryan Fox and Alex Plante also scored for the Hitmen (29-5-1-1), who improved their home-ice record to 18-1.

Lucas Bloodoof, Stephan Novotny and Dylan Hood scored for the Rockets (19-13-0-0), who lost their second straight game.

Martin Jones made 22 saves for Calgary en route to his 19th win of the season. Kelowna's Kris Lazaruk stopped 17 of 21 shots.
