Macaulay scores a pair, including game-winner as Americans edge Broncos @NHLdotcom

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Blair Macaulay scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner at 14:50 of the third period, to lead the Tri-City Americans to a 3-2 Western Hockey League victory over the Swift Current Broncos on Monday night.

Macaulay scored his first, a short-hander at 14:01 of the first period. Kruise Reddick also scored for the Americans (23-7-1-0), who got a 31-save performance from goalie Chet Pickard.

With Swift Current (17-12-0-5) trailing 2-1, Ryan Molle tied the game at 12:11 of the third when he flung the puck toward the net from centre ice. Pickard reached out and tried to knock the puck down with his stick, but the puck ricocheted off his stick and into the net.

David Stieler also scored for the Broncos, who got 18 saves from Travis Yonkman.
