PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. - Mac Engel need to make just 17 saves as the Spokane Chiefs defeated the Prince George Cougars 4-1 in Western Hockey League play Friday.

Marek Kalus, Dylan Walchuk, Darren Kramer and Todd Fiddler each scored singles for Spokane (35-22-7).

Daulton Siwak's first-period goal for Prince George (19-43-2) opened the scoring but that was all the offence the Cougars would get.

The lack of offensive help spoiled a 34-save performance by Prince George goaltender Drew Owsley.
