Lyall's overtime winner leads Sault Ste. Marie past Owen Sound 6-5

OWEN SOUND, Ont. - Matthew Lyall scored 4:18 into overtime as the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds rallied to beat the Owen Sound Attack 6-5 Saturday in the Ontario Hockey League.

Lyall's goal came on a Greyhounds power play after Owen Sound defenceman Paul Bezzo was given a delay-of-game penalty at 3:57 of the extra period.

James Livingston's hat trick led the way for Sault Ste. Marie (1-0-1-0), which rallied from a 4-1 second-period deficit. Lyall finished with a goal and two assists, while Jordan Carroll and Jordan Nolan each added singles.

David Kolomatis, Garrett Wilson, Joey Hishon, Steven Shipley and Marcus Carroll answered for the Attack (0-1-0-0).

Bryce O'Hagan stopped 26 shots to earn the victory for Sault Ste. Marie.

Scott Stajcer made 36 saves in defeat for Owen Sound.
